In Tianjin Jizhou Sports Training Center, Lan Minghao, a HFU student majoring in International Trade and Economics, beats his teammate 15-11 to win the Championship of Men’s Epee Individual at the 14th National Games held on the night of September 21.
Lan Minghao goes all the way to the finals, during which he stays calm to win the championship. This is the 6th Gold Medal for the Anhui Delegation.
Born in Hefei in 1996, Lan Minghao joined Hefei Fencing Team in 2006. His 2015 championship of Men’s Epee Individual at the National Youth Games won him the membership of China’s National Men’s Epee Team. At Tokyo Olympic Games this year, Lan together with his teammates finished Fourth, equaling the best record made by China’s Men’s Epee Team at 2008 Beijing Olympic Games.
