From May 8th to 15th, Chen Xiu, Vice President of Hefei University (HFU) led a delegation to visit Sapporo University (Japan), Soon Chun Hyang University (South Korea), as well as Artificial Intelligence and Block-chain Convergence Institute (South Korea).
At Sapporo University, the delegation held talks with the university authority on educational and research cooperation and specific exchange projects. Two universities signed a friendly cooperation agreement, which marks HFU’s further step in its educational cooperation with Japanese universities. The delegation also discussed cooperation on faculty and student exchanges and programs construction with program heads of Economics and Management, and Japanese Language. Afterwards, the delegation visited Sapporo University library and its students center.
At Soon Chun Hyang University, the delegation organized and attended the final and award ceremony of “The 9th Hefei University Cup Chinese Speech Contest”. Chen Xiu, on behalf of the host, presided over the contest and delivered a speech. She stated that it was the first time in four years that the contest was held offline, and she was pleased to see so many outstanding young Koreans learning Chinese and loving Chinese culture; through the “Hefei University Cup” contest, Hefei University would continue to create a platform for Korean youth to learn Chinese and get engaged in future communication. The delegation also held talks with Soon Chun Hyang University authority on student and faculty exchange, and both sides expressed the intention to strengthen cooperation and exchange in student cultivation and academic research to jointly promote the development of education in China and South Korea.
Chen Xiu and her party visited Artificial Intelligence Block-chain Convergence Institute and had an in-depth discussion on cooperation in the field of education and research. The delegation also visited HFU’s overseas cadres and their families at Chinese Embassy in South Korea.
